We designed the CD / LP packaging for Prairie Home Companion regulars "The DiGiallonardo Sisters" newest album. The brief was to create a cover with a vintage "Blue Note Records" Jazz LP feel. The album is a live performance at the Virginia Arts Festival with world renowned musical director Rob Fisher.
Liner notes were contributed by Prairie Home Companion host Garrison Keillor who said he thought our cover design was "Beautiful".
Typography is a huge part of 50's and 60's Jazz album cover design so we spent a lot of time getting this typographic treatment looking correct.

We thought it would be fun to make it look more like a weathered LP that had been bought at a used record store and so added a "ring wear" effect. This appears on old record covers from the imprint of the disc inside.
At Dot Dash we are avid record collectors so this was a really fun project for us.
